Abstract:
This case study helps in discussing the might of social media in meeting the demands of modern day advertising, as well as debating the efficiency of social media over other means of advertising.

Devesh Mishra, a 12th grader and taxi driver from Varanasi (a pilgrimage known for its picturesque locations), India, faces difficulty to meet his ends as tourist numbers dwindle due to global economic recession of 2008 and 2009. While he might not improve the situation on his own, he had to find a way to survive with whatever the number of visitors. On the advice and help of a patron, Devesh succeeded in attracting customers by posting a You Tube Video on the local tourist attractions.
